Finding support when struggling with suicidal thoughts can be tough. Please share the below details with anyone who is finding things a struggle.


Prevent Suicide - NE Scotland :- is a free app which can be downloaded from Google Play or Apple Store which includes lists of help organisations with Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. The list of organisations is not just suicide focused but also a great resource for any mental health concerns.


Stay Alive :- is a free app which can be downloaded from Google Play or Apple Store and includes a list of support contacts.


Samaritans :- Telephone 116 123, www.samaritans.org - 24/7 telephone line offering support in a crisis or via email jo@samaritans.org. UK wide service.


Breathing Space :- Telephone 0800 83 85 87, https://breathingspace.scot/ - open Weekdays: Monday-Thursday 6pm to 2am, Weekend: Friday 6pm-Monday 6am. Scotland based service and available to anyone based in Scotland. Service is especially designed for men struggling with suicidal thoughts.


Man Chat :- manchatabz@gmail.com, https://www.facebook.com/ManChatAbz/. Aberdeen based support group which runs support groups for both men and women.


Shout Crisis Test Line :- Text "SHOUT" to 85258 to contact the Shout Crisis Text Line or text "YM" if you're under 19. 24/7 telephone line offering support in a crisis. UK wide service.


NHS 111 :- Telephone 111. 24/7 telephone line offering support from nurses and mental health nurses.


Mental Health Care Team :- These are based in every A&E department in the UK. If you feel that you are in immediate danger of harming yourself the team can provide immediate support and signposted to further longer term services.


Childline :- Telephone 0800 1111. 24/7 telephone line offering support to anyone under 19. UK wide service.


Staying Safe :- https://stayingsafe.net/ is an online resource detailing how to create a safety plan and contact details of support services.
